Description of Metrokane Velvet Champagne Pliers
Have you ever before seen such elegant pliers? Contoured to fit snugly over the cork, grip it firmly and remove it with ease and safety, they take the anxiety out of uncorking champagne. Michael Aaron, Chairman Sherry-Lehmann, NYC's renowned wine shop has this to say: "Many devices for opening champagne have come and gone, but champagne pliers are always the best to use."Locker room hunks require no assistance when removing corks from champagne or other bubbly-wine bottles, and they're happy to spray wine around. Others, however, find it difficult to uncork a bubbly wine and to do it without spraying or spilling. These pliers are specifically designed to assist the latter group by firmly gripping a cork and providing leverage for twisting it free under control so the user doesn't waste a single drop. The pliers are made of stainless steel with ergonomic handles and rubberized grips for comfortable, soft, "velvet" handling.
